I find it very ironic.
When PAS formed alliance with Anuar Ibrahim led PKR, the message conveyed to the mass was sexual preference is private. Whether the court will find AI guilty or not of the second sodomy charge, he was acquitted on the first charge because of some technicalities NOT because it was proven beyond doubt that it did not happen. With AI dodging the second charge with delay tactic, personally, I couldn't help but think that if one is not guilty, then get it done and over with.
The alliance is all about getting AI to Putrajaya, to be THE Prime Minister.
So what is this about Adam Lambert promoting gay culture? Isn't it already here?
If our people is liberated enough to want a change from BN to PR, aren't they matured enough to handle Adam Lambert?

Citizen?
If ever an alien from Mars come to Earth and finds that it likes it here, wouldn't WE the earthlings naturally expect the alien to 'speak' our tongue and go to our school instead of the other way around.
The Chinese and the Indians who made up 40% of the population of this country were first brought here by the British colonialist as labourers. The Chinese to work the tin mines which later evolved into towns and cities. Kuala Lumpur started out as a tin mine town. The Indians were brought in to work on banana and rubber plantations.
The colonialist master allowed the labourers to set up vernacular schools with teachers and curriculum brought in from their mainlands BECAUSE these alien labourers would eventually GO HOME. That was the argument they used to against the British master education policy. A policy which sidelined the Malays in tandem with their split and rule policy. A policy which eventually left the Malays in their kampungs, tending a few chicken, planting rice when there was enough rain, catching fish for the day.
Then came World War II. The British master left when Japanese occupied this land. The Japs had a lot of bones to pick with the chinese. When Hiroshima was turned to dust and the communists threatened to take over, the British masters returned.
And then, the Independance. No blood was shed. The master, instead of sending home the alien labourers who had worked so hard at preserving their cultures and language just so they would not be 'alienated' when they eventually RETURN HOME, insisted that THEY be given JUS SOLI.
After 53 years, THEY stayed on, assumed citizenship and yet never letting go of their mainland. Instead of assimilation, they alienated themselves further from the people of the soil [read here].
Hence, I find this meaningless.

BOGUS
With the murder of the cosmetic queen Dato' Sosilawati, it was found out that one of the alleged murderers was a FAKE Dato'.
Today The Star reported about a fake veterinarian.
And here is another report which I find very disturbing. Only in 2008 there was a drive to register the supposedly UNregistered citizens before the general election. I've forgotten the number cited by Khir Toyo the then Selangor Menteri Besar [will try to find out later] but it was surprisingly big number. And now, less than 2 years later, there are still UNregistered citizens [Malaysian Indian?]. Apperently, the FIRST such programme was carried out on August 15 which drew about 1000 Indians and yet, there will be another drive NEXT month.
Me oh my! This is 2010 and Indians by the droves have not been registered as citizens???
With reports such as here where this year alone, the Imigration Department managed to nab 7413 bogus tourists with 4430 from Bangladesh, 712 from India and 480 from Pakistan plus thousand others who PAY Malaysian men to marry them [here] something smells fishy somehow.

Sudah terang lagi bersuluh
Bukan pertama kali berita sebegini tersiar di dada akhbar. Semakin berleluasa seolah tiada sebarang tindakan menghalang kejadian dari berulang. Jelas terlapor di akhbar betapa kakitangan banci menempuh kesukaran dalam membuat bancian penduduk. Begitu juga bila dibuat gerakan mengesan "rakyat" yang tiada kad pengenalan. Berduyun duyun mereka yang tidak boleh berbahasa Melayu walaupun negara ini telah menyambut kemerdekaan yang ke 53, mengaku warganegara.
Cara khianat mengubah komposisi penduduk.
Lihat bagaimana Singapura yang asalnya sebahagian dari Johor; di mana penduduk asalnya tentulah Melayu, kini majoriti penduduknya adalah China sedangkan rakyatnya tidak dibenarkan 'beranak' lebih dari dua orang.
Tak ada pulak mana mana pihak ke depan mengutuk kerajaan yang gagal menangani isu ini.
Amat menghairankan bila dilaporkan bahawa para suami seakan tak kisah isteri warga China dan Vietnam yang mereka kahwini hanya pulang ke rumah beberapa hari untuk urusan membaharui pas lawatan. Maknanya mereka memang bukan kahwin dengan wanita wanita tersebut untuk dijadikan isteri, malah mereka memang bersekongkol demi "gaji" yang dibayar untuk jadi suami.

MCA Public Services and Com plaints Department chief Datuk Michael Chong said these marriages of convenience came to light after local husbands sought his help to locate their wives who had run away.
Chong, who highlighted this issue in a press conference yesterday, said some of the men were looking for their wives because they wanted the RM500 payment to renew their spouses’ social visit passes.
“I feel like I have been used to find their wives,” he said, adding that he refused to offer any further help after discovering the scam.

53rd Independence Day
Despite a very late night, I woke up early today to catch up Independence Day celebration on tv. What a disappointment. Perhaps it was the fasting month but then where are the non fasting populations who is claiming equal right as citizen of this land?
What a sad thing to be a Malay on this land today.
Syed Akbar Ali hit the nail right on the head "... become the sort of simple people who can be easily entertained by balloons, banners, bands and brigades marching to music on Merdeka Day.
We fit into Rudyard Kipling’s racist observation that the asiatics are “nature’s children”. Meaning we are childish. ...
... become prey to cleverer people amongst us who will know how to use balloons, banners, bands and marching brigades to keep us entertained. Or they will manipulate us by promising us the keys to paadise. We will either be dancing or swaying to their tune. They too may allow us to become servants in the master’s house."
After 53 years of breaking free from the bonds and chains of colonisation physically, here we are ... back to where we started and this time it is not the colonials but ourselves for it is us who as Syed Akbar Ali observed " ...elect people whom we believe in, who then go ahead and make these laws with our tacit approval. They are our wakil. They represent us."
What a sad thing to be a Malay on this land today.

Look who is calling the kettle black
It is easy to blow trumpet and beat gongs asking for transparency in everything. But when it comes to their own doing, the loudest voice in the country who has forever been calling for transparency, has the audacity to issue a gag order [here] calling it internal matter.
"More evidence has surfaced to implicate Selangor executive councillor Ronnie Liu over the issuance of support letters, even as DAP chairman Karpal Singh issued a gag order on the matter.
In his 12-page appeal letter against his sacking by the DAP, former Klang municipal councillor Tee Boon Hock is alleging that Liu personally issued a letter of support for a company belonging to Tee’s son only weeks after assuming his exco post, and four months before Tee’s own letter dated Aug 12, 2008.
In Penang, Karpal issued a gag order to all DAP members on the matter, which he admitted had smeared the party’s image.
He also indicated that issues surrounding Liu would be discussed at the party’s central exe cutive committee meeting on Thursday.
Tee was recently sacked from both the Klang Municipal Council and the party for purportedly misusing Liu’s letterhead and seal to secure business contracts worth RM1mil for his cronies and family.' [the Star]

Organised "tour"
Another report on Star today made my blood went upstairs again.
"It is an organised tour with a difference – the only item on the itinerary is a job in Malaysia.

However, the tour for over 7,000 foreigners, including Bangladeshis, Indian nationals and Pakistanis was cut short. All they got to see was the inside of the KL International Airport.
These foreigners, who had come into Malaysia on tourist visas purportedly for a holiday, were part of a syndicate with the ultimate aim of finding themselves jobs at the thousands of mamak restaurants throughout the country."
...“Of these bogus tourists, Bangladeshis recorded the highest number with 4,430 people, most of whom were believed to be victims of agents or syndicates,” he said, adding that Indian nationals were the second highest with 712 people, followed by the Pakistanis with 480.
Mohd Zulfikar said that besides having forged passports and visas, these “tourists” did not not have return air tickets or even sufficient money.
“They have all been categorised as doubtful or suspicious foreign visitors, suspected of having the hidden agenda of entering the country to look for a job."
What irked me most is the thought that these people could eventually claim to be "stateless" because they have no identification documents for a number of reasons i.e parents too poor and uneducated living in remote estates, ID list in fires/flood/theft etc. There was even one case where a man claimed to be stateless [including his wife and children too (fogot how many children)] and took to camping in his vehicle in front of the palace of Sultan Perak claiming assistance. Big drama!
I penned my thought on this issue in a different perspective here

So is it much wonder to see them arriving in droves?
And the influx of African and Chinese arriving on student visa purportedly to enroll in private colleges. I wonder how many of them have graduated and went back home.

Ekonomi Malaysia terus kukuh. Pujilah sikit!
Untuk Suku Pertama (Januari 1 hingga Mac 31), kuat sungguh ekonomi Malaysia = berkembang 10.1 peratus.
Suku Kedua ekonomi berkembang 8.9 peratus, kerajaan kata petang tadi. Slow sikit tapi tetap kuat.
Kebesaran dan kekuatan ekonomi diukur dengan menggunakan apa yang omputeh kata GDP, atau Utusan dan BH kata KDNK. Apa benda tu 'bang?
GDP = gross domestic product.
KDNK = keluaran kasar dalam negara.
Cakap mudah: pendapatan negara. Jika semua barangan yang dibuat di Malaysia, dan semua perkhidmatan di Malaysia diukur dengan matawang.
Dan dicampur dengan jumlah perdagangan/penjualan sektor pembinaan (KLCC Property Holdings, Gamuda) dan pertanian (Felda dan Sime Darby). Jumlahnya RMxx juta.
Di sana pula, syarikat Dell pasang komputer dan Zaitun keluarkan syampu berjumlah RMxx juta.
Dalam sektor perkhidmatan pula, Hotel Mandarin, Pos Malaysia dan Pelabuhan Klang sediakan bilik penginapan, pos surat dan kotak, manakala kapal masuk port kena bayar 'berthing fees'. Jumlahnya RMxx juta.
Jumlah ini semua dicampur oleh kerajaan dan menjadi KDNK atau GDP.
(Maaf, tapi Makcik Mah jual goreng pisang, Pakcik Man jual ayam percik di bazaar Ramadan Melawati, serta khidmat Kak Piah urut kaki di Carrefour tak dikira sebab terlalu kecil dan business tak berdaftar dengan kerajaan. Dan, ahem, tak bayar cukai pun!).
KDNK ni dibilang sebulan sekali apabila industri (Ikea, Carlsberg, Scomi, Proton dan Nokia) dan syarikat perkhidmatan (KFC, Bursa Saham Malaysia, Kontena Nasional, Suria KLCC, Firefly dan AirAsia, Genting Resorts World, Hospital Pantai) melaporkan jumlah dagangan dan penjualan mereka kepada Jabatan Statistik, Bank Negara, kementerian-kementerian.
Dan jumlah sesuatu period itu (bulanan, suku tahun atau tahunan) dibandingkan dengan period yang sama di tahun lalu - di situlah kita dapat peratusan sama ada ekonomi telah berkembang atau menguncup.
Jumlah KDNK Malaysia tahun lalu dianggarkan US$378.9 billion (RM1,300 billion) = iaitu jumlah dagangan/penjualan industri dan sektor perkhidmatan setelah dicampur.
Tahun lalu, ekonomi menguncup 2.8 peratus.
Untuk seluruh tahun ini, 2010, KDNK akan berkembang "lebih tinggi dari 6 peratus", kata Bank Negara!!!
Dan berita baik lagi, yang apabila saya baca, saya gembira tadi:
-Sektor perkilangan (manufacturing) berkembang kuat! naik 15.9 peratus, menunjukkan export terus kuat.
-Sektor perkhidmatan (services) naik 7.3 peratus.
-Sektor pembinaan (construction) 4.1 peratus.
-Sektor pertanian (agriculture) berkembang 2.4 peratus.
Satu perbandingan untuk tahun ini (saya membantu menyunting laporan dari buro-buro akhbar kami tadi):
Jangkaan KDNK 2010,
- Indonesia = 6 peratus.
- Thailand = 7 peratus.
- India = 9.1 peratus.
- Singapork = 13-15 peratus.
Harapan besar saya ialah apabila pembangkang menilai angka-angka ekonomi Malaysia ini, mereka tidak akan terus mengecam dan memaki hamun.
Sekali-kali, jadilah pembangkang yang memberi harapan kepada rakyat: ekonomi Malaysia ni baik. Memang ada banyak lagi boleh diperbaiki, tapi kita bersyukur bersama bahawa kita terus sihat di masa ekonomi negara Eropah seperti Greece, Portugal, Spain dan Italy lemah. Dan ekonomi US pun mungkin terus lemah.
Penat rasanya jika apa yang akan kita dengar ialah maki hamun saja.
Jika tak mahu, tak payah puji kerajaan Najib pun. Sebab tidak semua yang berlaku - seperti eksport terus kukuh, atau orang lebih kerap makan di KFC, atau tourist masuk hotel - kerja kerajaan secara langsung pun.
Tapi jika sekali-sekala semua bersatu padu, dapat sejukkan hati rakyat akan masa depan negara. Dan memberi kebanggaan kepada semua.

Jumlah KDNK Malaysia tahun lalu dianggarkan US$378.9 billion (RM1,300 billion) = iaitu jumlah dagangan/penjualan industri dan sektor perkhidmatan setelah dicampur.
Tahun lalu, ekonomi menguncup 2.8 peratus.
Untuk seluruh tahun ini, 2010, KDNK akan berkembang "lebih tinggi dari 6 peratus", kata Bank Negara!!!
Dan berita baik lagi, yang apabila saya baca, saya gembira tadi:
-Sektor perkilangan (manufacturing) berkembang kuat! naik 15.9 peratus, menunjukkan export terus kuat.
-Sektor perkhidmatan (services) naik 7.3 peratus.
-Sektor pembinaan (construction) 4.1 peratus.
-Sektor pertanian (agriculture) berkembang 2.4 peratus.
Satu perbandingan untuk tahun ini (saya membantu menyunting laporan dari buro-buro akhbar kami tadi):
Jangkaan KDNK 2010,
- Indonesia = 6 peratus.
- Thailand = 7 peratus.
- India = 9.1 peratus.
- Singapork = 13-15 peratus.
Harapan besar saya ialah apabila pembangkang menilai angka-angka ekonomi Malaysia ini, mereka tidak akan terus mengecam dan memaki hamun.
Sekali-kali, jadilah pembangkang yang memberi harapan kepada rakyat: ekonomi Malaysia ni baik. Memang ada banyak lagi boleh diperbaiki, tapi kita bersyukur bersama bahawa kita terus sihat di masa ekonomi negara Eropah seperti Greece, Portugal, Spain dan Italy lemah. Dan ekonomi US pun mungkin terus lemah.
Penat rasanya jika apa yang akan kita dengar ialah maki hamun saja.
Jika tak mahu, tak payah puji kerajaan Najib pun. Sebab tidak semua yang berlaku - seperti eksport terus kukuh, atau orang lebih kerap makan di KFC, atau tourist masuk hotel - kerja kerajaan secara langsung pun.
Tapi jika sekali-sekala semua bersatu padu, dapat sejukkan hati rakyat akan masa depan negara. Dan memberi kebanggaan kepada semua.

kilang proton dibuat oleh kerajaan bn-umno di selatan perak (tg malim) dan kilang perodua di utara selangor (serendah) nak majukan kawasan2 di situ - ramai orang melayu juga. pembangunan pesat kerana kilang2 ni kat situ, terima kasih kpd bn-umno.

Malaysia oh Malaysia
Reading this article on the Star today really made my blood raced upstairs. It reminds me very much of my earlier thoughts [here]about Malaysian indians working on privately owned estates [mostly by Chinese towkays] who claimed being marginalised by the government. The towkays happily count their untung juta juta [profits] while they pay the lowest money to the workers and and spent even less money on the workers' welfare and yet the government is blamed for their dire state.
And here we have foreigners protesting the poor treatment they are getting from their employers while the employers are again counting their untung juta juta. I bet the politicians will not let this opportunity to rap the government go unnoticed.
The Indonesian government is demanding that their maids be paid RM800 monthly. I wouldn't be surprised if the governments of all the foreign workers who ran riot here would blame Malaysian government for the low wages their workers are getting and lack of health facilities on the factory compound.
It is sad to know that some Malaysians really believed that government is practically giving money to all the Malays [here]. Money gotten from the tax THEY purportedly paid.
Haihhhhh ....

Baung Bawah Bangkar
Baru lepas menonton Galeri Nasional TV 1. Pasal jalan darat dari Kuching ke Miri yang sebelum ini dikatakan sangat teruk laluannya.
Wartawan GN melalui satu bulatan di Sibu - Bulatan RTM. Sakitnya mata dan terbakar perasaan bila nampak tulisan cina di bawah tulisan rumi. Seolah dua bahasa tu sama taraf. Biadab sungguh siapa yang buat kerja tu. Mana perginya pejuang bahasa Melayu yang terlentang tertiarap menolak bahasa Inggeris dalam pengajaran Sains dan Matematik?
Teringat isu papan tanda ni sebaik pihak pembangkang menang di 5 negeri dalam PRU 12 2008. Berebut rebut ahli parlimen pembangkang memacak papan tanda jalan sebab ramai cina kat Malaysia nih sesat barat bila berjalan jalan di KL dan bandar bandar besar lain di Malaysia sebab deme nih tak reti membaca atau bercakap dalam bahasa Melayu.

Mahkamah Sesyen Tersilap

4 tahun lalu seorang bapa dijatuhi hukuman penjara 38 tahun dan 12 sebatan atas 2 sabitan merogol anak kandungnya yang berusia 14 tahun. [Utusan Malaysia]
16 Julai 2010 Mahkamah Tinggi menerima rayuannya dengan mengetepikan sabitan dan hukuman kerana mendapati Mahkamah Sesyen telah terkhilaf dari segi fakta dan undang undang semasa menjatuhkan hukuman tersebut.
Sewaktu membacakan keputusannya, hakim Mahkamah Tinggi menyatakan laporan perubatan yang dikemukakan tidak boleh diterima sebagai bukti kerana tandatangan padanya disahkan palsu oleh seorang pegawai perubatan.
Malah, pegawai perubatan yang sama mengesahkan mangsa tidak dirogol dan kesan koyakan pada kemaluannya akibat tusukan objek tumpul seperti belakang pensil.
Kesimpulannya pihak pendakwa gagal membuktikan kes prima facie.
Menggerunkan.
Bagaimana laporan perubatan dipalsukan dan dapat disahkan palsu kemudian. Kenapa kepalsuan itu tidak dapat dibongkar lebih awal oleh defenden? Kelemahan peguam bela kah atau kehebatan peguam pendakwa atau kelemahan sistem?
Bagaimana pula dalam kes berprofil tinggi yang melibatkan ketua pakatan pembangkang yang telah 20 kali ditunda. Kehebatan peguam bela kah, kelemahan pendakwa kah atau sistem dipermain mainkan?
Negara ini semakin kucar kacir.
Tangan tangan ghaib berjaya memecah belahkan keharmonian rakyat seterusnya menimbulkan prasangka terhadap sistem perundangan. Ketua Polis Negara telah lama berjaya dipalitkan dengan pelbagai situasi negatif. Perlembagaan ditafsir mengikut kehendak masing masing. Demonstrasi jalanan dirangsang. Isu perkauman digunakan untuk melaga lagakan rakyat. Anak muda diulit dengan budaya hedonisma. Seks bebas berleluasa. Kebendaan disembah.
Bangun lah anak bangsa ku. Jangan nanti jadi Pak Kadok, menang sorak kampung tergadai.

Hallelujah! Long Live 1Malaysia
China Press reported that there was a lack of Chinese-speaking counselling teachers in SMJK San Min in Teluk Intan, which has some 1,600 students.
The only Chinese-speaking counselling teacher had to take up 80% of the workload because students would ask for him.
The school’s board of directors chairman Chen Hong Ji said he hoped that the Education Ministry would look into the issue and assign more Chinese-speaking counselling teachers.
“Some students could not converse well in English or Malay, so they were not able to communicate with the non-Chinese speaking teachers about their problems, which in turn affect their studies,” he said.
> Nanyang Siang Pau reported that Kuantan might soon have its long-awaited first independent Chinese school.
Pahang Chinese guilds and associations had been looking for a suitable independent Chinese school in Klang Valley to open a branch in Kuantan.
Frankly, I think it will be difficult for the corrupted Malay chauvinist Malaysian Government to find a suitably qualified counselor locally. In the interest of the poor 13-17 year old students who cannot converse well in English or Malay after 6 years of primary education and without doubt are excellent students who scored perfect A in UPSR, I strongly suggest that they be sent to mainland China
Better still, in the interest of Malaysia 's future generation, the government SHOULD built the whole school in mainland China Malaysia

There has been countless quotes, poetry and songs on the virtues of a good friendship. In the song co-written by Burt Bacharach What Are Good Friends For? , these lyrics that often keep repeating in one’s mind:

An Australian study on older people discovered that those with a large circle of friends were 22% less likely to die in the 10 years of the study. A similar Harvard research showed that strong social ties will promote brain health as one ages.
I agree. The role of friends to one’s health has been under-appreciated, compared to marriage and family. Sure, there can be rotten apples in the barrel, but with good friends, they can bring a positive psychological impact on one’s well-being, as the above studies demonstrate. Another study of 3000 nurses with breast cancer even showed that friendship had an even greater positive effect on health than a spouse or family member.
Exactly why friends have such a big effect on health isn’t too clear – could it be the ‘feel-good’ factor? Or the physical and psychological support which lessens one’s stress levels? Whatever it is, the message that these studies point out is that friends do make your life better and healthier.

Corn: Ripe?
Started this year's observation for PMR School Base Oral Assessment at SMK Kuala Tembeling. Driving back in the late afternoon, I noticed stalls selling freshly harvested corns and groundnuts. Bought some cobs of corn and a kilo of groundnuts ... thinking of son at home.
Reached home and son told me of his grandma's call about ten minutes earlier asking him to go over to take care of a snake in her kitchen. Told him to go right away. Forgetting the corns and the groundnuts in the back of the car.
He came back couple of hours later. It was a cobra that apparently got its tail snapped in a rat's trap. He is not a snake whisperer so he had to kill the snake.
Asked him if he wants to have corn on the cob and boiled groundnut for dinner. He declined. He doesn't mind corn in a cup but not 'jagung tak masak' [raw corn which he meant as "UNRIPE" corn]. He actually thought the corns were not ready yet because the husks are still green.
In Bahasa Melayu, 'masak' could mean cooked or ripe.
I rolled out in laughter. My Bachelor-in-Engineering-Automotive Mechanical-major-24-year-old son actually thought that one should wait for the corn to ripen in the field.
No wonder ten years ago when he was 14, I bought some boiled corn in the husk and offered him some. He declined saying he'd rather wait for the corn to 'masak' [meaning ripen].
I tried telling him then that the corns were 'masak' [cooked] but he said he'll eat them later when they are 'masak' [ripened]. I laughed and explained to him that the corn were cooked and can be eaten but he insisted he didn't like to eat 'young' unripe corn.
And I thought my explanation was sufficient.
Was it my short coming or was it his thick skull?
Hmmphhsss!!!

WORDS -Part 2
Read a nice entry on OutSyed The Box [here] which reminds me of my previous entry concerning words [here]
Will edit this entry later but wish to highlight few points I found interesting.
There has never been a priest hierarchy in Islam, there have never been "head of Islam" allowed in Islam. There is no equivalent to a Pope, Vatican, installation rituals for religious clergy etc. There is no headquarters for Islam anywhere in the world, comparable to the Vatican for Christianity, the Pope for Catholics or other such beliefs in other religions. There is nothing comparable in Islam. There is no Chief High Priest in Islam.
There is not one single institution anywhere in the Islamic world that can certify anyone as an ulamak. There is no such thing. The only exception to this rule is the Persatuan Ulamak Malaysia, where by paying a few Ringgit registration fee, one is deemed an 'ulamak'. That is a joke not understood by those with impaired oxygen intake into the grey matter.
In Islam there is a direct relationship between man and his Creator. The Quran says "Allah is nearer to you than the veins in your neck". We do not need intermediaries.
Here is some info about the word 'ulama' from the Quran.
"Do you not see that GOD sends down from the sky water, whereby we produce fruits of various colors? Even the mountains have different colors; the peaks are white, or red, or some other color. And the ravens are black. Also, the people, the animals, and the livestock come in various colors. This is why the people who truly reverence GOD are those who are knowledgeable (al ulama). GOD is Almighty, Forgiving." Surah 35: 27-28
The Quran says the people who see all this Nature and observe all this Creation and appreciate all this handiwork of the Creator are called the 'ulama'. Clearly then this is a description of scientists. An ulama is therefore a scientist.
The word science of course comes from the Latin word 'scientia' which means knowledge. And the arab word Ulama is the plural of the arab word alim. Alim comes from the arabic word "Ilmu" which ALSO means knowledge or science.
An alim is therefore a knowledgeable person and ulama is plural meaning 'many knowledgeable people'. Ulama are therefore scientists who study everything around them and appreciate all the things that the Creator has created in this universe. Those are the ulama.
But will a Book such as the Quran fail to provide a proper name for the priests of religion, those guys who wear beards and robes, who dress funny, talk funny and behave funny who are part and parcel of every "religion"? Not at all. Here is the Quran again :
Surah 9:31 "They have set up their religious leaders (habar) and rabbis as lords, instead of GOD. . . "
The Quran refers to 'religious leaders' and the priests as HABAR. They are not referred to as ulama.
Habar are the religious priests who wear strange clothes, wear beards, speak strange and say that they are "closer to God". They can promise things like the keys to paradise. They are best given doodle pads to draw on and be locked up in asylums. If allowed to roam free, they can become "mursyidul am", ayatollah, pak sheikh and so on (in extreme cases).

The word science of course comes from the Latin word 'scientia' which means knowledge. And the arab word Ulama is the plural of the arab word alim. Alim comes from the arabic word "Ilmu" which ALSO means knowledge or science.
An alim is therefore a knowledgeable person and ulama is plural meaning 'many knowledgeable people'. Ulama are therefore scientists who study everything around them and appreciate all the things that the Creator has created in this universe. Those are the ulama.
But will a Book such as the Quran fail to provide a proper name for the priests of religion, those guys who wear beards and robes, who dress funny, talk funny and behave funny who are part and parcel of every "religion"? Not at all. Here is the Quran again :
Surah 9:31 "They have set up their religious leaders (habar) and rabbis as lords, instead of GOD. . . "
The Quran refers to 'religious leaders' and the priests as HABAR. They are not referred to as ulama.
Habar are the religious priests who wear strange clothes, wear beards, speak strange and say that they are "closer to God". They can promise things like the keys to paradise. They are best given doodle pads to draw on and be locked up in asylums. If allowed to roam free, they can become "mursyidul am", ayatollah, pak sheikh and so on (in extreme cases).

Poor and minority neighborhoods lack safe streets and parks in which to exercise and many are also so-called "food deserts."
