Sourgrapes

Found this bunch here.
Aren't they cute?

sour grapes

We know it takes more
to scrunch up the facial muscles
and it can be painful after a while.

Better to smile!

See these brave golden girls
still smiling strong

smiling from our hearts

2011 is closing in
gosh!
time does fly
especially when you are having
a great time

To all my friends
old and new
far and near
real and cyber
especially
all my family members

From the bottom of my heart
THANK YOU

It would be interesting to find out how the phrase sour grapes came about.

But sometimes a bit of sourness helps too... that's why cooks use vinegar or tamarind... hehehe...

Keep smiling, ladies :-)

Salaam Oldstock,

what a pleasant surprise. thank you for dropping in.

"The phrase sour grapes is an expression originating from "The Fox and the Grapes," one of Aesop's Fables. It refers to pretending not to care for something one does not or cannot have." [from Wikipedia]

I was about 10 years old [and that was a long long longgg time ago] when i chanced upon Aesop's Fables in the school library in a small village in Kelantan and my English language was still a seed not yet germinated [trying hard to justify why i don't remember the story].

Yes, when it comes to food, a balanced taste of masin, manis and masam makes you menjilat jari.
